How long can students borrow reserve material?

Dana Library

Items can be loaned for 2 hours, 3 days, or 7 days. Items placed on reserve may leave the library. Faculty, if choosing the 3- or 7-day loan periods, consider providing multiple copies of materials.

Howe Library (books)

Items can be loaned for 2 hours, 1 day or 3 days. Items placed on 2-hour reserve may not leave the library (although items loaned for 1 or 3 days may leave the library).

Howe Library (media)

Items can be loaned for 2 hours. Items may only be used in the library.

How do students know how long they can borrow an item for?

Desk staff will always let students know the loan period when checking out an item.

At Howe Library, when borrowing a book, it will have a sticker showing the loan period.
