What does Multimedia Resources and Services offer? Is it available to everyone?

Media collections, DVDs, CDs, streaming video media, and the physical space in the Center for Multimedia Development and the Sound and Vision Studio are free resources and available to current UVM faculty, staff and students.

  • Media: Large holdings of DVDs and CDs in our media collection at Howe Library. We also have thousands of videos licensed online. Find individual titles by searching CATQuest or viewing the UVM Streaming Collections.
  • Physical spaces: The Center for Multimedia Development (CMD) houses Alienware gaming PCs and Mac Studio computers for university affiliate use. We also provide access to Ultimaker 3D printers housed in the CMD (please email files for 3D printing as an attachment).
We also operate the Sound and Vision studio, a configurable space for recording sound and podcasting. Please email Multimedia Resources and Services to schedule.
  • Instruction and tutorials: Technical assistance or tutorials may be requested by UVM faculty, staff, and students for all media, equipment, and physical spaces.
